CBP-AMO Pilot
Your Role As An Air Interdiction Agent (AIA)
  • Prevent unlawful persons, vehicles, and contraband from entering the U.S.
  • Conduct pursuit, tactical, and air patrol missions
  • Conduct humanitarian and life saving missions
  • Monitor suspicious persons’ behaviors, mobility, travel patterns, and assets

Be sure to include a record of your military service according to these categories:

  • Separated or Retired: Include a copy of your latest DD-214 (member 2 or 4 only) for verification of veterans’ preference.
  • Retirees, O-4 or higher: Under section 5 of U.S.C. 2108, you are not included in the definition of preference eligible unless you are a disabled veteran. If you have a service-connected VA disability rating (even 0%), include a copy of your VA disability letter.
  • Active-duty: Provide an official “Statement of Service,” including name, date of birth, service branch, active-duty service start and anticipated separation dates, and current pay grade. Also, list all decorations, medals, badges, citations, and/or campaign ribbons, awarded or authorized.
